This kit can be used to keep water levels topped off in your recirculating hydroponic system, it can be used with many types of systems that have a reservoir ** except for ebb and flo or flood and drain hydroponic systems. We recommend running you system for a week or 2 before deciding how high or low to mount the float valve, people run there systems at different water levels and that is why we wont pre drill top off kits on our systems, sorry we hope you understand.- Gary
