This is a good bundle to get you going, these are the least expensive pH and PPM/EC meters that we will carry that still work good and last! This bundle even comes with pH storage solution and a 8oz. 7.0 and 4.0 Calibration solution so your PH pen can be kept in good working order. You should check your pH pen calibration every week at first and if it seems to be holding it's calibration then you can go up to a month between calibrations and even longer if you don't use it much. The PPM/EC meter does not need calibration and should stay on for many years. These both have automatic off/shutdown to reserve battery life. They come with a 1 year factory warranty. They are also water resistant which many cheaper models are not which an accidental drop in the water will break them so I recommend these for beginners!
